This was the opening gambit from Jim Buton, CXO of CT Link llc / UC Strategies at Unified Communications Expo.  He continued..Unified communications holds great promise but with it a number of challenges. Developing a UC strategy requires a good understanding of various UC components and how those components can be integrated into various business processes. Simply upgrading an existing service or adding new capabilities could be a dead end investment if it is not part of an overall UC Strategy.
